VRL was founded in 1976 by DR. Vijay Sankeshwar in Gadag, a small town in North Karnataka with a single truck and a vision that was way ahead of its time. VRL gradually expanded its services to Bangalore, Hubli and Belgaum. From this humble beginning VRL has today grown into a nationally renowned logistics and transport company which is also currently the largest fleet owner of commercial vehicles in India.
Vijayanand Road Line has Market Value of 6000 Cr, and Consist of more than 5500 Trucks, 1100+ Pickup Points, 17+ Hubs and generates a Revenue of 2800 Cr.
Almost 73%of Cargo and 86% Passenger vehicle are operated through Road ways. India`s Logistics Market Value is of $216.25 Billion, which is increasing by 10-12% every year. VRL Group is competing with big foreign players like DHL, FedEx, BLUEDART, DELHIVERY which comes under 3PL and inspite of such challenges VRL is performing far better than others as the Other well known players follow B2C Model which involves multiple parties and lead to intense competition and lead to error in delhivering the order where the VRP Group Follows B2B Model where they Sell the products in Bulk and in Cheap rate where they earn high profit and they also get control over the trade.
In 2021 Government Introduced new policy i.e. NLP (National Logistics Policy) and NSP (National Scrapish Policy) as well as E-way Bill, E-Invoice, Fastag, GST and to overcome such policies other companies started thinking on it and that same time VRG Group already placed order of 1600 new vehicles worth Rs 560 Cr, and took one step ahead of competitiors. Now they have got the delhivery of first 100 vehicles and the compititors are still thinking on it.In developed countries which are good at Logistic Management their Transportation cost is around 8% and in our Country it is around 12-14%, and our Government is working to reduce Transportation cost to make it Cost Effecient.
